That Star Wars Peter Mayhew and Chewbacca the originals Wookiee since 1977 shirt was even nominated for Best Picture is amazing to me. The Academy has a bias against comic book/science fiction movies. They are seen as somewhat low art appealing to the masses rather than high art appealing to a sophisticated cine palate.
