My mom got tired of The best kind of mom raises a nurse floral shirt, sweater, hoodie and v-neck t-shirt. She raised five kids on her own, sometimes barely receiving child support from my father (he often petitioned to lower it). She often worked three jobs, and I often remember her coming home late and tired. Sometimes I stayed with my aunt because she had to work late or leave early in the morning to get to work (there were times she had to take the bus because we didn’t have a car). When I was young I remember that I would plug in the coffee pot on Saturday mornings to help her wake up because she was tired from the week’s work. But then she got up and she was my mom; happy to be with us.
